Baby Steps
I'm slowly starting to figure out all of this mission crap and it's seriously whopping my butt. I haven't had depression hit this hard in a while. Away from home with no success. People seriously just hate the gospel here tf.
TuesdayMonday was just a pain oh my gosh it was a struggle to get through. But we did service for someone and he insisted on paying us even though we definitely didn't deserve it but he really wanted to pay us so we both got 50 bucks. And we got probably 6 referrals that day for people that just wanted to learn more about the gospel.
WednesdaySo our thing for our zone is that we are the Corpus jungle and anytime we do anything awesome or have a miracle everyone makes monkey noises and goes ham which I think is super fun. And while we were having dinner at a members house the husband *inactive* told me I would make so much money doing only fans.
ThursdayWell, we had mission correlation and China a which is an all you can eat Chinese buffet. That was super good and we also used a ton of subway coupons and paid almost nothing for our food. I also saw this super pretty mustang
FridayToday was pretty slow in the morning just like the rest of them but I made the most bomb grilled cheese sandwich to ever exist. The secret will not be revealed not even to my wife and cleaning is so therapeutic especially when your comp is super messy. But anyways. Later in the day we had an dessert auction for the young women and young women's camp and it was a huge success. We made these super ugly brownies (that tasted awesome) and they sold for 25 dollars. But the wild thing is, is that there was a flan that someone made and it sold for 200 dollars and another "cups of dirt" sold for another 200 overall they made prolly over 1,000 for these 4 girls... afterwards we were all taking down and Carmen confessed her love to me which is so so great
. After that I tore my lower back again..... I first tore it snowboarding and that was awful because I couldn't rip or throw any trick then which made me sad but now I just sit down funny.
SaturdayI woke up today, and could barely move. My back was on fire and its just throwing a fit... Isaiah should hopefully be coming to church tomorrow and that would make me so happy to finally see him there and have him experience church. After we talked with isaiah we talked with a recent convert for about an hour and a half and I start petting his dog and listening to all of his stories and I look down and see his dog. Has. Fleas. I almost threw that mujunka across the yard. Never again. Also another fun thing is we've been collecting all of our soda tabs and bottle caps so we can play poker with them and we actually have a ton so far and we making good progress.
SundayToday was good. We got isaiah to church and he joined in on the discussions and wants to bring his family to church as well which would be so freaking cool. I wasn't able to write this last time because my email deleted itself and I got super frustrated and didn't write it again but when we went to pick up isaiah for church last time he told us to go to his parents house. We show up his parents house and ask "is isaiah here" and this dude looks so confused and I thought our homie capped us and gave us a random address. But then this guy says "you know where he is...." woah we just stepped into something. Apparently isaiah was missing for weeks before this and his parents had no idea where he was. He's all good now and we got him to church today so it's all balancing out. And Jacob didn't show up to church today because he beat the crap out of someone because they threw beer at his mom. I would've done the same thing but we were able to visit with him
Monday Today is not a P-Day, weird. But that's because we have Elder Pieper of the 70 coming to do a mission tour so we had lots of meetings and zoom calls. Later in the day we did some service and I caught a whole lizard! Not some stupid disabled lizard that can't move KALI! Mine was healthy! Later in the day I got an email from one of my FSY friends I hadn't heard from in forever and had assumed the worse because all contact was lost and no one knew nothing. But she's okay and we vibing now. My last thing for today is that my Pectus Excavatum is getting worse. It's been causing some problems for breathing and I've been waking up sweating because my heart is working way to hard. So imagine a stitch in your side, all over your lungs and constant heart burn. Loving it.
Tuesday We made isaiahs faith calendar and he totally wants to come back to church. He loves it. He made great comments and really felt the spirit. And a faith calendar is a plan of action for those who are getting baptized to prepare them for it.Side note my ribs be hurtin
Wednesday We had our in person meeting with Elder Pieper and it was so cool. The spirit that this man has is insane and the insights as well *chefs kiss* after that we went out and prossed and made so many good contacts with people. But I've been feeling mega sick because I just haven't been sleeping at all. I don't know if it's the insomnia making its way back or if my ribs and lungs are keeping me up I just love being a melting pot of problems
ThursdayFinally we get a pday and we decided to go to butter churn for lunch and someone paid for our food! No clue who but I didn't know who to thank so I tipped the waitress 20 bucks. After words we went to our chapel in rockport and started playing spikeball out side when 4 police cars start rippin through pearl Street at almost 120 mph. Don't know where they were going but it was urgent. Almost 10 minutes later. 2 cars come screeching into the church road and it looks like 2 teenagers being dumb so I brush it off only to realize this is road rage. Someone was trying to attack the other person but luckily homeboy got away. Later he came back and asked if we saw what happened and if we could give testimony if the police needed it but i don't think it will be needed. Anyways I love yall so much thank you for reading these. I only know of 5 people who are but dang I miss yall.Also congrats to Lexi for her call to Farmington New Mexico!
