Kak Vyashi Dyevm
Bienvewelcome shawties, Ive got a fun lil Email for y'all so hold onto your butts because I've got some certified fuego flames and hood classics coming in real hot
Number one on the list with a massive plot twist, I left Edinburg and I'm back in fetching Weslaco. Yup. The area I just left a month and a half ago. Im back in it. Im not super mad but I just unpacked in Edinburg and adjusted to the area and had some baptisms all lined up. Plus its the same area I just left but English... oof
But there are some benefits. Skeehan was giving me a run for my money and was lowkey driving me insane but because I left, I got some new comps. Im in a Trio with Elder Beus (we call him boos, which is boost but without the T) and Elder Greer (This dude is wild). Ive never been in a Trio before so im very excited to see where it goes
The area I got sent to was actually the "Tech Squad" area of the mission. Which means our companionship and a companionship of sister are in charge of the facebook page and all of the ads of south texas and making sure EVERYONE gets contacted. We also film videos for big events that happened in the mission and just hype everyone up always. Which I hope im doing a good job of.
Lets run through real quick, how I feel about being back in Donna/Weslaco area
Some Pros
-I get to see the members from the spanish ward and my recent converts!
-I dont need to relearn an area so I've already got the streets down and memorized
-I've got some litty comps that dont make me think about calling president every 30 minutes.
Cons
-I'm back in weslaco. How the fetch am I supposed to go around the mission and learn the areas if im stuck in the same spot. I basically havent left this spot since September.
-Its the same area. Ive already talked to p much everybody here in Donna/Weslaco so finding new people is a little harder
-Im not with the spanish members. Those goes are so much fun and feed you like a pig.
-The bishop here in the spanish ward is highkey opps. He just wont do what a bishop will do and is shutting down a lot of baptisms and just dogging on the missionaries always.
Because we are in the Tech Squad we have access to laptops and super nice cameras so Im trying to get used to photography again and take lots of pictures. Greer is the one thats got the SUPA nice camera but he lets me use it sometimes. It is a very pretty camera and it takes some nice flicks.
Super lit district. This district isnt as hype as my district my last time is weslaco but they're still super fun. Everyone homies and we all vibe
So there is this one house that is abandoned and anytime we need to go pee in this area we pee in this house and while we wait, we punch/kick holes in the walls and just treat it like a rage room. Last time we passed by I punched a hole in the wall and cut my hand up. Not super bad but lots of little superficial scratches. Definitely scared me a lil tho I thought I made a super bad mistake because my hand was buzzing and started to bleed so I for sure panicked.
Let me tell ya, General Conference was super lit. We got 13 homies to watch and we even got to hear a couple. Im still catching up on all the talks because we were running around getting everyone to watch instead of watching it ourselves. I really like Hollands talk from Saturday morning about honest prayer.
A while ago I bought a slingshot right. We're back wit it. Elder Greer and Boos both got a slingshot as well because the dogs over here are ruthless. Yesterday we walking and 6 of these dogs come booking it out so one by one we start ripping these ball bearings at these dogs and it felt like a zombie horde coming at us because you'd shoot one and then it would run away and then the next one would come charging just in time for you to reload and once that sucka is gone the one you just shot is circling back. So we probably dumped total, 15 rounds into these 6 dogs and lit them up.
A massive plus in this companionship is we all love monster energy drinks so we all have this massive wall above our cupboard of about 35 monster cans and we only about 2 ½ weeks in... its still growing so dont worry about it
Havent been playing much magic but hey im with good people so it dont matter. Ive played two games so not a whole ton but ive got fun comps so I dont need distractions
Ive been GRINDING the guitar, writing songs and improving skills. So ive basically mastered the song Utah by Ax and the Hatchetman. Ive been messing around with chords and lyrics trying to make some songs. Some sound good some need work but all in all its working out pretty well
Since weve lasted talked ive jumped up in total baptisms to 15 baptisms which is insane. It would be more but when I left Edinburg I had baptisms lined up and Skeehan fumbled the ball hard and 3 baptisms fell through. Even after I left hes still pissing me off
13 months out in the field as of saturday so I've got more time out that I have left. Which is wild
I can dunk a basketball now. So I really am Duncan. Get it. Basketball. Dunking. Laugh.
I love yall so much thank you for your prayers. They really do help. I will try much harder to write emails more consistently because weve got some stuff cooking in the pot.
Adieu
The Milla
